habitate is an introduction platform. We get you to the right person — what you agree after that is between the two of you.

Profile first, account second. Name, age, languages, what you do, budget, move-in dates, lifestyle, interests and a photo.

List your place — type, size, rent, amenities, up to five photos. Or set your preferences: property type, room type, home size, area.

Your address stays yours
You drop a pin; everyone else sees a locality name and an approximate distance. Never your address. Exact location is shared per connection, only when you tap, and you can take it back.

“I have a place” and “I'm looking” live in the same app. A spare room in a flat, a house or a PG finds the person who wants exactly that.

Pause without losing days
Pausing hides your profile and stops the clock. The days you had left come back when you resume.

What habitate is not
habitate is an introduction platform. We are not a broker, agent, landlord or tenant. We don't own, manage or inspect any property, and we're not party to any rent or deposit arrangement you make.
Every account is tied to a verified mobile number. We do not run background, criminal, credit or identity checks on anyone — so meet in public first and trust your instincts.
Pricing
Browsing is free. A pass is ₹30 a week.
A pass makes your profile visible to other members and unlocks contact details. That's the only thing you ever pay for.
- No auto-renewal. A pass simply ends. Nothing charges itself.
- Time stacks. Buy more while a pass is running and it adds on — you never lose days by renewing early.
- UPI-first, via Razorpay. Card and UPI credentials never touch habitate's servers.
Referrals: every member gets a code, and each friend who joins with it earns you a free week, up to three.

Questions people ask
What is habitate?
A flatmate-finding app for Hyderabad. You either have a place and need someone to fill a room, or you're looking for a place and people to share it with. We match on the things that make living together work — budget, area, schedule, food and lifestyle — not just rent.
Do I need to pay to look?
No. Browsing profiles and places is free. A pass is what lets you appear in other people's results and exchange contact details.
What does a pass cost?
₹30 for a week, ₹55 for two, ₹99 for a month. The first 5,000 people to join get their first week free.
I joined the waitlist. Do I get anything?
Yes — the number you gave us gets a free week automatically when you sign up with it. Use the same mobile number in the app and it applies itself.
How do referrals work?
You get a code to share. Each friend who joins with it earns you a free week, up to three friends.
Who can see my address?
Nobody by default. Your pin is only used to work out distance — others see a locality and a rough distance. You choose, per connection, whether to share your exact location.
Do you verify people?
Every account is tied to a verified phone number. We don't verify names or IDs, so meet in a public place first and trust your instincts.

Which areas of Hyderabad does habitate cover?
All of Hyderabad. Most early interest is around Gachibowli, Madhapur, Kondapur, HITEC City, the Financial District, Kukatpally and Manikonda, but you can drop a pin anywhere in the city and tag the localities that suit you.

Who we are
habitate, Hyderabad. For anything at all about your data, write to support.habitate@gmail.com. We reply within 24 hours.
What the forms collect
- Waitlist form — your name, email address and mobile number. Optionally, what brings you here and which area of Hyderabad you're interested in.
- Query form — your name, email address, topic and message.
Both record the date and time you submitted. That is the entire list. We don't log your IP address, and there's no hidden field doing anything you can't see on the page.
Why we ask for a mobile number
It's the field that does the real work. Your free week is attached to your number, so when you sign up in the app with that same number, it applies itself. Without the number we have no way to hand it to you.
What we use it for
- Telling you when habitate launches.
- Attaching your free week to your number.
- Answering your query, if you sent one.
Nothing else. We won't add you to a newsletter and we won't message you about anything unrelated.
Where it's stored
In a Google Sheet that only the habitate team can open. Google acts as our processor for that storage. We don't sell your data, we don't share it for advertising, and nobody outside habitate sees it.
How long we keep it
- Waitlist entries — until launch, plus long enough to issue the free weeks. Once the launch offer has closed and the free weeks are out, we delete the list.
- Queries — until your question is answered, and a reasonable period after that as a record of the conversation.
Your choices
Email support.habitate@gmail.com and we'll tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. No form to fill in, no hoops.
Who else is involved
- Google — stores the submissions, as the Sheet above. Typefaces also load from Google Fonts (
fonts.googleapis.comandfonts.gstatic.com), which means Google receives your IP address as part of that request, the same as for any file your browser fetches. - Cloudflare — serves this website, and runs the Turnstile bot check on the forms. It sees your IP address in the course of doing both.
Neither is permitted to use your data for their own purposes. Nobody else sees any of it.
The app is separate
This policy covers this website only. The habitate app has its own Privacy Policy and Terms, which you'll see and agree to when you create an account.
Changes
If we change how any of this works, we'll update this page and the date at the top of it.
Cookies — the short version
We set no tracking cookies. No analytics, no advertising pixels, no social embeds, no profiling — nothing here follows you around the internet or gets sold to anyone.
Two things do touch your device, and both are doing a job:
- A single localStorage entry, written only after you successfully join the waitlist, so the page shows you a thank-you next time instead of an empty form. It never leaves your device, holds no personal data, and clearing your browser storage removes it.
- Cloudflare Turnstile, the bot check on the two forms. It exists to stop automated signups from flooding the waitlist and burning the free weeks meant for real people. Cloudflare receives your IP address and some technical signals from your browser to work out that you're human, and may keep a short-lived token so the check doesn't repeat. It is not used for advertising, and it does not track you across other websites.
Because none of this is used for advertising or cross-site tracking, there's no cookie banner to click through.
